Where are you in this picture?
Beneath the darkness? In the pool of light on distant waters? In the brilliant high turmoil of updraught, downdraught and thunder?
Where will you be as the clouds roll onwards? Where is God?
Thy sea, O God, so great,
My boat so small.
It cannot be that any happy fate
Will me befall
Save as thy goodness opens paths for me
Through the consuming vastness of the sea.
